Generators Layer Settings

You can adjust the Generators layer colour scale settings by visiting the Generators Layer section of the Options screen. You can do this by clicking the Tools menu and selecting "Options". Once the Options screen is open, click on "Generators Layer" which is located under "Advanced Features" in the left column.

The first thing you need to specify is the kind of scale to apply. To select one, simply click the radio button beside the range type's description.

This is a gradual scale based upon the change in MW over the previous hour. So if there was no change for a particular generator, its colour would be green. If it increased its output or capability by the maximum specified value or more, then it would be red. If it decreased by the specified minimum value or less, it would be blue.

Absolute Range

This is a single, absolute output/capability range that is applied to all generators.

For this scale, the lower end of the scale is 0 MW. The top end of the range is a particular generator's capability value. The scale is based on the current output of the generator relative to its current capability. So if a generator's output is 12MW and its capability is 24MW, then it will be coloured green. If its output is 24 and its capability is 24, then it will be red.

Generator comparison value

If you've selected the Change or Absolute colour ranges, then you will need to specify which generator value to use, either generator output or capability.
