Brattle Experts to Discuss Recent Updates to PURPA at Electric Utilities Consultants, Inc. Virtual Conference

Brattle Principals Metin Celebi and Robert Mudge will discuss the recently finalized updates to PURPA at an Electric Utilities Consultants, Inc. (EUCI) virtual conference, “Pricing and Eligibility Changes to PURPA,” on Tuesday, December 15.

Dr. Celebi will discuss “Variable Energy Pricing Option” during Session I at 7:15 a.m. (PT) / 9:15 a.m. (CT) / 10:15 a.m. (ET). He will provide an overview of methodologies used for variable energy pricing options and the implications for qualified facility (QF) developers and utility ratepayers.

Mr. Mudge will join the “Competitive Procurement” panel during Session II at 12:15 p.m. (PT) / 1:15 p.m. (CT) / 3:15 p.m. (ET). The panel will provide an overview of competitive procurement as an explicit option, including lessons learned from several states.
