Recording of the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center webinar: Offshore Wind: Unlocking Potential for a Green Stimulus
Brattle Principal Johannes Pfeifenberger will participate in the upcoming Atlantic Council Global Energy Center webinar, “Offshore Wind: Unlocking Potential for a Green Stimulus,” taking place on Monday, July 27 at 10:00 a.m. (ET).
One of the fastest-growing energy industries in the US, offshore wind is poised to play a dramatic role in decarbonizing the US power grid. In addition to clean energy and climate advantages, offshore wind can serve as a major engine of post-pandemic economic revitalization and job creation at a time of record unemployment and impending recession.
The webinar will discuss the prospect for offshore wind development amid the post-pandemic recovery. Specifically, panelists will address how public and private sectors can work together to accelerate offshore wind development, as well as the financing and policy mechanisms needed at the federal, state, and local levels to expand and bolster the industry.
