Ms. Connor has more than 15 years of experience in finance and accounting, including over a decade of consulting on complex litigation and regulatory proceedings.
She has expertise in a wide variety of areas: accounting and financial reporting, auditing, financial investigations and fraud, internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), corporate governance, and economic damages in commercial disputes.
Ms. Connor has worked on complex financial reporting issues under both US and international accounting standards (US GAAP and IFRS), including asset and goodwill impairments, revenue recognition, fair value accounting, related party transactions, credit risk, and asset recognition in complex financial transactions. She has also addressed disclosure issues such as non-GAAP reporting measures and MD&A, as well as auditor liability issues related to complex accounting, management estimates, independence, and quality control.
In ICFR and corporate governance-related matters, Ms. Connor has addressed the requirements and role of ICFR from both management and auditor perspectives, including the assessment of internal controls. She has also worked on cases involving the proposed clawback of executive compensation and alleged bribery under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
In addition, Ms. Connor has worked with industry experts on risk management practices at investment banks, mortgage banks, and other large financial institutions to mitigate investment, credit, and fraud risks.
Prior to joining The Brattle Group, Ms. Connor was a Senior Manager at a litigation consulting firm, and previously was with a Big Four accounting firm. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
