Our Commitment to Equity and Justice

Over the past few weeks, we have been listening to each other and reflecting as colleagues from around the globe bravely share their personal experiences and stories about bias, racism, and other forms of systemic oppression. Through candid blog posts and emotional firmwide town hall meetings, we began a series of critical conversations about racial, social, and gender inequity and injustice, that we will continue independent of media attention to these issues.

We have challenged each other to act as agents of change. We respect and celebrate our differences as individuals. We stand in solidarity against systemic injustices against the Black community, as well as  broader issues of racism and inequality in the US and around the world. As an initial step, Brattle employees have come together to make over $60,000 in donations to the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, the ACLU Foundation, and Amnesty International.

To support long-term equal justice advocacy, we further commit to expanding our ongoing pro bono program to analyze policy and regulatory issues that affect the rights of the most marginalized in society. We are actively exploring other ways to use our collective expertise to help further these efforts and to address the lack of diversity in our own industry; and will be reaching out to academic, professional, community, and other organizations to engage in further dialogue. We also welcome outreach from other organizations that wish to partner together in these efforts.
