Dr. Li is a financial economist with expertise in issues related to financial derivatives, capital markets, corporate finance, and venture capital.
He has extensive experience helping clients solve academically rigorous problems and analyzing large and complex financial data with sophisticated statistical tools. Dr. Li consults on matters related to the trading, risk management, valuation, and manipulation of financial derivatives and structured products, market efficiency and price impact, corporate governance, and venture capital investments and contingent claims.
Dr. Li has led experts and project teams through all stages of regulatory investigation, litigation, arbitration, and mediation. His work has included several high-profile cases. Notable examples include In re: Facebook Inc. Class C Reclassification Litigation and In re: Dell Technologies Inc. Class V Stockholders Litigation, as well as matters related to the alleged manipulation of benchmark rates such as LIBOR and ISDAfix.
Dr. Li has researched the informativeness of insider trading and institutional trading around corporate events. His research has been featured on the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and has been published in peer-reviewed academic journals.
