Findings from Brattle Report on Offshore Wind Highlighted in Recent TIME, E&E News, and S&P Global Articles
Brattle consultants recently coauthored a report – commissioned by several climate and clean energy-focused organizations – highlighting the advantages of collaborative planning processes for offshore wind transmission to meet clean energy goals across the US. TIME and E&E News have published articles highlighting the findings from the report and the estimated benefits for over 100 gigawatts (GW) of offshore wind generation, including the potential for at least $20 billion in transmission-related cost savings.
In a recent S&P Global article, Brattle Principal and report coauthor Johannes Pfeifenberger was quoted, noting that the US needs to “jump from using the conventional way to interconnect offshore wind to a more planned way to interconnect offshore wind.”
