Renée Duplantis to Present at Canadian Economics Association Conference

Brattle Principal Dr. Renée Duplantis will speak at the Canadian Economics Association (CEA) Conference, to be held May 30 – June 2 in Banff.

Dr. Duplantis will speak on the panel “The Future of the Efficiencies Defense in Canadian Competition Law.” The panel will consider whether economic theory and evidence supports Canada’s retention of the efficiencies defense. To build the discussion, the panel will discuss past scholarly contributions on this topic, as well as two recently published papers with opposing views on the current efficiencies defense.
